The NCCP have appointed Prof. Dermot O’Toole as National Clinical Lead of the Irish Neuroendocrine Tumour Group as part of their national strategy for NETs treatment in Ireland. Professor O’Toole will lead a project to develop a National Programme for Neuroendocrine Tumours involving the designated cancer centres in Dublin, Cork and Galway. This is a great step forward for NETs treatment in Ireland and the beginning of trying to establish a Centre of Excellence for NETs.
